We are currently testing this design in small quantities, which is why it is made from conventional cotton. Before we commit to the large volume of yarn required to produce this same top in GOTS certified organic cotton (about 100 large spools of yarn), we want to make sure that our customers love this design as much as we do. All cotton varieties still have a significant impact and we want to be sure first that our cotton tops will find a loving closet.
RESPECT FOR WORKERS
Design: Paris, France
Knitting, dyeing, sewing atelier: France
This top was made in Bretagne, the original home of the Breton stripe. We partnered with France's most legendary maker of stripes, a family-owned business that has been making these famous knits since 1936.
People who have contributed to the production of this product benefit from fundamental workers’ rights, including living wages, health benefits, pensions, job security, and a safe working environment.
This top has a reduced carbon footprint thanks to its short and predominantly European production chain.
Did you know that the average conventional t-shirt travels 30,000 km before it finds its way to you? The only jet-setting we want our clothes doing is in our suitcase!
