A Responsible Factory
Rosenberg is a small Parisian atelier run by fashion industry-veteran Boris Rosenberg and his daughter Sarah. Opened in 2009 in the Parisian garment district, the atelier recalls the old sewing studios of the 1950s. It's a nod to the decades Boris himself worked for the industry greats - Chanel, Paco Rabanne, YSL, Lanvin, Jean Paul Gaultier and Isabel Marant to name a few. Born into the rag trade in post-war Poland, Boris has worked his way up through the luxury apparel industry, training as an expert in sample making, cutting, embroidery, sewing and eventually becoming Head of Atelier. Let's just say, the man has an impressive resume. It's no wonder he eventually decided to open his own atelier nine years ago. Although the business today has more clients knocking at the door than it can accept, Boris has decided to stay small so that he can oversee every little detail of the studio himself. His philosophy: Quality over quantity. Just how we like it.
Made With Love
Boris and Sarah work with a small staff of skilled sewers, cutters and pressers in a bright and intimate studio in Paris's 2nd arrondissement. We visit them regularly to review our collections and chat with the team. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Men and women of all ages work together, children pop by after school to pick up mom on their way home - the atelier feels like a family.
Located just a few kilometers from our Paris headquarters, producing locally with Rosenberg significantly reduces the carbon footprint of our supply chain. We also get to contribute to the preservation of a diminishing French garment industry and its superior quality craftsmanship. As a French brand, we are proud to support local jobs, and can guarantee fair wages and high workplace standards according to European labour laws.
We produce our smaller collections of woven items, such as blouses, dresses, and skirts, at Rosenberg. This highly-skilled Paris atelier has an international reputation for quality workmanship yet a willingness to work with emerging brands and accept smaller production quantities. They handle our entire manufacturing process from grading and cutting the fabric, to sewing the final product. We can proudly say that the products made here are Made with love in the heart of Paris.
