One of our very first manufacturing partners, this traditional French atelier is run by brother and sister duo, Emile et Marie-Christine Grammatico. Together they've been running the family business for over 30 years, building it into one of the most respected (and last surviving!) authentic French producers of those famous Breton stripes. Based in Southern Brittany, the brother-sister team are determined that the region's most iconic style remain resolutely made in France and according to local savoir-faire.
Located only 500km from our Paris headquarters, producing locally with Grammatico significantly reduces the carbon footprint of our products.
We also get to contribute to the preservation of a diminishing French garment industry and its superior quality craftsmanship. As a French brand, we are proud to support local jobs, and can guarantee fair wages and high workplace standards according to European labour laws.
We produce all of our Breton striped tops and wool skirts with Grammatico. As experts in heavy knits, they handle the entire manufacturing process from knitting the fabric and cutting, to sewing the final product.
Grammatico sources 100% merino wool from Italy, where it is certified Oeko-Tex 100.
